Whoa wait, wasn't it just Friday afternoon? This weekend FLEW. Luckily, I was able to spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather. No projects this weekend, just lots of sunshine. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.
Beautiful day on the water - didn't catch any fish (per usual), so we got lobsters instead. I'll take it.
Sommmebodyyy was running Castle Island at the same time as me... only he blew by me like a bat outta hell. If you squint and look really close, you can see a grey speck in the distance. Haha.
Jenn and I hiked Blue Hills this morning which was awesome. Then we got lost and tacked on another half hour or so to our little excursion. It ended up being a bonus since afterwards we went to Chris and Rachael's home-away-from-home, Amber Road Cafe, for the first time. No wonder they are so addicted to that place, the food was incredible. Jenn and I were salivating over every meal that went by our table. We even got another meal to split just because we wanted to try more than one thing. They use locally sourced and organic ingredients, whenever possible. It was pretty obvious though, even though everything on the menu is pretty decadent, it wasn't greasy or too sugary sweet. Can't wait to go back for breakfast!
This week's "motivation" isn't so much motivation as it is a reminder. This little sign was hung up at the restaurant we went to on Saturday. A nice little reminder for me at the end of the week. I took two rest days this week and was only able to go to boxing twice. My finger is still injured and my hamstrings have been bothering me so it was the right move, but, I always get a little edgy when I don't work out as much as I want to. Sometimes, you just need to relax, give yourself a break and get back to it when you're feeling up to it. I plan on making this week super productive, both at work and in the gym.
