Scenes from my iPhone #2

Hi Friends! Long time no talk. I'm not going to make any promises about how often I'm going to post because right now, I simply don't have that figured out while I navigate my new job, plan my wedding, and keep up with everything else. What I can promise is that my social accounts are still very much active. There are still plenty of healthy things being shared, especially on instagram and snapchat (@funfitflavor) so if you're missing all of the tips -- give me a follow!

Moving on, this summer has been more jam packed than ever. I could have blogged 100 times about a variety of topics, from my nutrition certification, to local travel, to what my workouts look like now that I'm recovered from my pinched nerve. BUT, because of that, I have a bit of writer's block because it's like I don't know where to begin!?

So, the other day I was scrolling through my phone (and at the same time, realizing how quickly the summer has flown by!) and I decided that a "Scenes from my iPhone" post could get us caught up and then we can move on from there. Sound good?!

In July, my parents, Rob, and I went to Hyannis for the week. It was soooo relaxing! Our house was right on the ocean and the water was seriously so warm. We had a great time.

I collect wampum (the purple bits of shell that break off from quahogs and clams). There was a ton in Hyannis and I spelled out our wedding date! :)

My parents at our first Cape Cod League Baseball game.

That sunset though...

Then we went to Burlington, VT for the wedding of our friends, Peter & Catie. We had never been to Burlington before -- it's SO pretty!

The wedding was on Grand Isle at Peter's grandmother's house. It was truly stunning. I loved every single one of the details and they are such an amazing couple!

BATES

Gorgeous.

Those details!

One day this summer, we were actually in Boston and took FULL advantage of it. We hung out with all of our friends that live local and by the end of the day. Tim and Rob ended up in the same outfit, lol... (not on purpose).

I've been spending A LOT of time at the Seaport Sweat series that I planned as part of all of the activations that my company will be doing at Seaport. Luckily, this is how I've been squeezing in most of my workouts. #worldscolliding

Smoothies for breakfast! 1 cup of frozen berries, 1 scoop of SFH coconut protein powder, 1 tbs almond butter, 1 dash of cinnamon, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. mmmm

And last night, Rob and I went to Yoga at Fenway and then toured the park!

Phew - I think we're all caught up now! How have your summers been? What was your favorite part? Do you have fun LDW plans coming up? What else?!

Friday Favs

Good morning friends! Is it just me or does everyone seem a little happier, friendlier, and generally more excited about life during the week leading up to 4th of July? I tend to notice these things at grocery stores the most. Paying attention to how customers treat employees and vice versa can reveal a lot. Yesterday, I noticed a general happiness as I checked out of Whole Foods with a cart full of weekend essentials including but not limited to cans of Prosecco, cheese, and apple pie. Customers were extra nice! I've said this before, but, July is pretty much my favorite month. The heat, long days, and frequent trips to the beach can take credit for that.

This weekend, our plans consist of meeting up with Lauren and Chris in what will be a long overdue double date followed by days on the beach. I consider that a perfect plan. I hope whatever you have planned this weekend it's filled with laughter, kindness, ocean air, cheese & crackers, family & friends, and as always... a little movement!

Here are my favs of the week!

The Luna Bar Rise 'N" Shine Boot Camp & Yoga Event.

Catching up with the girls at Committee this week!

Free Fitness Thursdays at Legacy. Athena taught on Thursday and it was awesome!

Sunset in Southie at a red light.

Fact. Let your sparkle shine bright!

Have a safe and happy 4th, my friends! xo

Scenes from my iPhone

Hi Friends! I hope you all had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! Mine was jam packed with activities including a wedding! I know I've been the most inconsistent blogger on the planet over the last few weeks but, outside of wedding planning, work, and health certifications... there have been a few additional things going on that I cannot speak to quite yet on this blog.

Anyway, my goal right now is to post at least once a week. I think that's a more manageable goal at this point. So today, I was scrolling through my iPhone photos and thought it would be fun to share some snapshots from the last few weeks. There has been a lot of fun and/or healthy things that I've captured so let's get to it, shall we?!

A beautiful day for a Sox game a couple of weekends ago!

Food shopping for my Bridesmaid brunch... a nice mix of healthy and not-so-healthy choices.

From the left... Janet, Kim, Kathryn, Suzanne, Becca, Rae, me, Stacy, Jenn, & Kerri! :)

Don't diss a fish stick taco with homemade sriracha mayo before you try it. So freaking good for some reason. (Note: Always use Ian's fish sticks)

Bridesmaid dress shopping and the nice ladies let Juliet try on a bunch of flower girl dresses. She's just sooooo cute!

I remember these little worry dolls from childhood. I seriously considered buying one for myself and about 10 other people. I might need to go back to Francescas to get them!

The most gorgeous sunset over the City taken from Castle Island.

My favorite date.

First lobster roll of the season and it was a GOOD one!

The only pic of us from the Wedding over the weekend. haha

What do your iPhone photos consist of from the last few weeks?! xo
